Where the original LVEB is rich, sweet, and gourmand, L'Éclat is lighter, more floral, and more radiant — built around the symbolic "flower of light," orange blossom, and presented in one of the most beautiful bottles in the entire Lancôme catalogue: a faceted crystal flacon of 221 individual crystal facets, designed by Maison Pochet and designer Catherine Krunas, that catches light with every angle and looks extraordinary on the vanity. Opens with a bright, sparkling burst of mandarin orange, bergamot, and freesia — fresh, slightly fruity, and immediately luminous, the freesia adding a soft, clean floral quality that distinguishes the opening from conventional citrus florals and gives it a quietly distinctive character. The heart blossoms into a beautifully composed, sun-drenched white floral accord of orange blossom, jasmine sambac, iris, and white flowers — radiant and deeply feminine, the orange blossom in full, honeyed bloom alongside a clean, slightly indolic jasmine sambac and a cool, powdery iris that gives the heart its most sophisticated and lingering quality. The fragrance settles into a warm, softly oriental base of vanilla, sandalwood, and patchouli — smooth, gently sweet, and beautifully skin-close, the patchouli kept light and modern rather than earthy, providing just enough warmth to give the composition a quietly sensual depth that rewards hours of wear.
